Scripture Reading: Romans 1:11-15, Unashamed of the Gospel

Call to Worship:

Everything in heaven and earth is Yours, God.

We praise You for sharing all things with us.

We glorify You, the most generous Giver, for Your open hands and steadfast provision. 

For our sake, You became poor so that we may be rich in love.

You give us more than enough and give us opportunities to share with our neighbor.

Glory to God in the highest: Provider, Protector and King. 

Confession and Lament

Lord, you reign with authority.

Yet we have set up our own kingdoms, 

Our own places where we hesitate to allow your rule. 

Christ, come into every space,

Into every room in our hearts!

Reign and rule without competition, 

That we may live in your kingdom joyfully.

Assurance of Gospel Peace:

Because of Christ and the cross, 

We can come boldly and confidently into the Father’s presence! 

By the indwelling of his Spirit,

He has strengthened our hearts!

He is helping us see how high and how deep his love is for us, 

Making us complete with all the fullness of God’s life!
