Call to Worship:
Praise the Lord for his goodness and mercy!
We lift our heads and turn our hearts to worship him.
The Lord is not far off; he is near to us always!
Father, you give life and rest, joy and peace.
Let us praise him with all that is within us!
Confession and Lament:
Lord, only you can satisfy the longings of our hearts.
In you, we have enough. Because of you, we are enough.
You call us to be a thankful people - a people who speak of your goodness.
Give us eyes to see. Purify our hearts.
Let our faith be genuine as we surrender our plans for yours.
Help us to be a people who live for your glory alone.
Assurance of Gospel Peace:
Lord, you call us to belong - first to Jesus and then to one another.
Your sacrifice at the cross made the way for everlasting peace.
Your gospel is for everyone - those who are near and those who are far off.
May we abide in you - clinging to you as our source of life.
As we abide, let your love compel us toward righteousness and away from our sin.
Help us to remember that apart from you, we can do nothing.
May we rest in you - with deep gratitude for all that you have done.
