Scripture Reading: Romans 1:16-17

Call to Worship:

O Lord, how majestic are your works! 

In wisdom you have made them all. 

Our soul will bless you Lord!

You clothe yourself with splendor and majesty.

Your greatness covers the whole earth.

We will sing to the Lord as long as we live.

We will bless his name forever!

Confession and Lament:

God, you are the author of our lives and stories. 

Yet, we act as if it is our job to make sense of it all.

Help us to remember that you are in control and worthy of our trust.

Instead of trusting you with our days, we trust in ourselves, 

Hoping our plans will bring us what we need. 

Teach us to number our days, that we may get a heart of wisdom!

Assurance of Gospel Peace:

Being justified by faith, 

We have peace with God through Jesus!

Let us continue to walk by faith with our eyes on Jesus,

Holding tightly to this hope we have been given

This hope that is holding onto us!

Increase our faith, day by day, to boldly share this good news, 

Extending the grace that has been extended to us.

Thank You, Father, for this gift, too wonderful for words!
