Call to Worship:
God, you are the Great I Am!
You hold the world together by your word alone.
We worship you, because you are the beginning and the end.
In your hand is life and breath.
In you we live, and move, and have our being.
We give it all back to you, our God!
Confession and Lament
How long, oh Lord, must we cry with empty hands?
How long must we wait for the future redemption? He
Lord, we ache for the promise, when you make all things new.
We are tired of waiting in a broken world,
And we feel how sin has touched every part of our lives.
While we wait, give us confidence because you are near.
Lord, align our desires with yours.
Assurance of Gospel Peace:
Like Jesus wants to gather his people under his protection,
We long to be with him, readying ourselves for the promise.
We trust that you will bring us home with you.
With even a tiny grain of trust and belief,
We look to the day we meet you with those
In Christ who have passed on before.
May we never forget your promises!
