Scripture Reading: Deuteronomy 19-21

Call to Worship:

Sing to the Lord songs of joy,

For he is our strength!

King of heaven and all the earth,

He reigns with justice and mercy.

Sing praises to our God, sing praise!

Let us worship our great God!

Confession and Lament

Lord, you see and know all things.

There is nothing hidden from you. 

Your love and care extend to all people, 

And you desire for your people to walk in justice and in truth.

Forgive us when we overlook the needs of those around us,

When we fail to remember who our neighbors are.

Give us eyes to see beyond ourselves.

When we fail to be truthful, 

When we desire favor over integrity,

Give us hearts that long for your glory and not our own.

Assurance of Gospel Peace:

We who were once far off have been 

Brought near through the blood of Christ.

Jesus, you are our peace.

We are no longer strangers, but citizens of heaven.

Jesus, you are with us always - we have no need to fear.

Let us trust in your strength to carry us home.
