Call to Worship:

Praise be to the Great I Am,

Who puts every idol to shame.

All honor, glory, and power is yours forever!

Praise be to the God of justice.

He deals rightly amongst all mankind.

So, we join the chorus of every age:

All honor, glory, and power is yours forever!

Amen.

Confession and Lament

Lord, we confess at times we have lived as unwise people.

We have become distracted and wasted time on things of this world.

Father, forgive us for not embracing your will.

Our souls are weighed down with our own sin;

Our hearts long to be filled with your Spirit.

God of Grace, forgive us for not drawing our strength from you. 

Fill us with your Spirit, so we can hear the message of your kingdom.

Assurance of Gospel Peace:

Hallelujah! Christ has victory over death.

The Lamb was slain, but he was raised to life!

His salvation is good news to those in need.

The same power that raised Christ from the dead now lives in us.

His Spirit is the seal of this promise:

Jesus is coming soon!
