Scripture Reading: Numbers 22-24

Call to Worship:

There is no power as strong as our God.

There is no end to his strength.

He rules with his strong hand! 

Nothing can come against him.

He is the matchless King. 

Our God alone is ruler over everything!

Confession and Lament

Lord, we continue to see violence and we cry out to you.

How long, O Lord, until you intervene against evil?

How long, O Lord, until you make all things new? 

We cannot celebrate evil.

And we cannot bear this weight.

Meet us in our weariness, Lord.

Hear our cries for justice today.

Assurance of Gospel Peace:

Jesus took on the weight of all sin for us.

Every sin we remember committing—and the ones we don’t—were covered at the cross.

Lord, your mercy is too great to understand, but we are thankful!

Now, we can walk free, unbound from the chains of sin.

We can rejoice as the redeemed ones,

Because evil does not rule us anymore.

We are the children of God!
