Scripture Reading: Exodus 31:12-34:35 Mt. Sinai

Call to Worship:
Bless the Lord, O my soul!

Let everything within me bless your name.

God who is merciful and abounding in steadfast love,

You show compassion to your children.

You are worthy of all our praise!

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

Let us praise his holy name!

Confession and Lament:

Lord, we confess that we are prone to wander

From the truth we have believed.

We are a forgetful people, quick to take matters into our own hands as if

You have forgotten or forsaken us. Your anger in light of our idols is righteous;

Yet, you do not abandon us.

Help us to turn from our sin.

Help us to trust in your forgiveness!

Assurance of Gospel Peace:

The fullness of God’s character is perfectly revealed in our King Jesus.

He is our eternal high priest,

Who died and was raised to life!

Jesus paid our debt in full.

We are free to sin no more!

Our God will never leave or forsake us.

We can rest in the truth that he knows us fully, and loves us still.

There is nothing that can ever separate us from his love!
