Scripture Reading: Exodus 20:14 - Seventh Commandment

“You shall not commit adultery. 

Call to Worship:

God, you are our faithful King. 

Every good gift comes from you. 

We sing because you are good! 

You are the giver of life,

You sustain us through all of our days. 

Hallelujah forever, Jesus you reign! 

Confession and Lament:

We can never live up to the standards of God’s law. 

We are in need of a savior every moment of our lives. 

Our righteous king, Jesus, has paid our great debt. 

His salvation is a gift that isn’t earned through any of our efforts.

Lord, increase our faith to surrender to you more.  

Assurance of Gospel Peace:

God, your love pursued us,

Even when our hearts strayed from you.

You loved us so much that you sent your Son.

Even when we run and hide in shame,

You remain faithful to us, 

Lord, you keep us in your love!
