Scripture Reading: Exodus 20:13 - Sixth Commandment

“You shall not murder”

Call to Worship:

Let your heart be glad and rejoice in your Maker.

Come Praise the Lord, 

the One who gives life!

Lift shouts of praise to the Lord Most High.

Come Praise the Lord, 

the One who fills our lungs!

You alone are worthy of our very lives.

Lord, we give you all the glory!

Confession and Lament:

Lord, when we forget to recognize the gift that life is,

Help us to see rightly.

When things are uncertain and we feel like we lack,

Remind us that you are enough.

We have all that we need.

Assurance of Gospel Peace:

Lord, you give every good thing,

Including life with you.

When we breathe our last,

It isn’t the end,

Because Christ has given us victory over death!

We rejoice despite the sorrows that we face,

Since you promised us a place of rest with you in Heaven. 

Lord, we believe that Your Spirit will sustain us until the very end.
