Scripture Reading: Exodus 20:4-6 - Second Commandment

Call to Worship:

Come, worship the God of the universe!

Lord, we bow at your feet because you are worthy!

Come, worship the Ancient of Days!

He is before all things, and in him, all things hold together.

Lord, we prepare our hearts to worship you.

You deserve our undivided attention!

Confession and Lament:

Lord, we often try to make our own comfort,

We form our own idols to meet needs

Lord, remind us that You are enough.

When things don’t go our way we try to take control,

Forgetting that you have promised good things.

Lord, remind us that You are enough/good (can’t decide which to go with)

Assurance of Gospel Peace:

When we struggle to keep going,

Or to walk with faith in Christ,

We remind one another:

The God of all grace,

who called you to his 

Eternal glory in Christ, 

after you have suffered a while,

Will himself restore you and

make you strong,

Firm and steadfast.
