Scripture Reading: Genesis 43-50

Call to Worship:

Praise the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth!

His glory is displayed in all creation!

Praise the Lord, the giver of all good things!

He lavishes his great love on his children!

Praise the Lord, for his great works, 

Past, present, and future!

He is always at work in his world!

Confession and Lament:

When we have not been merciful–

In our actions or in our minds–

You have known us.

Like children, we want to hide.

When the truth comes to light, 

You have already seen us, Lord.

So, may we rest in this truth:

We cannot run from you,

May we run towards you instead.

Assurance of Gospel Peace:

Where sin multiplied,

Grace multiplied even more!

Praise be to God for the Son!

The blood that was shed for us has covered every sin.

What once was dead is now alive!

Hallelujah, we have freedom in Christ!

And we are not left alone in this life,

But the Spirit dwells within us, guiding us every day.
