Call to Worship:

Praise the Lord for his sovereign care. 

We worship you, our great and powerful God!

The heavens declare your glory, and all creation is in your hands.

O mighty God, you are enthroned forever!

Worthy is our King to receive the praise of his people.  

Lord, in your presence there is fullness of joy! 

Confession and Lament:

When our fleeting attempts to control our lives fail,

God waits to grab hold of us. 

Lord, our sins are not hidden from you. 

When anxious thoughts cloud our minds,

When they overwhelm our hearts,

Our God is near to comfort us. 

Lord, you know our limitations. 

It is God’s kindness that leads us to repentance. 

He loves us deeply. 

Lord, increase our faith to trust you more. 

Assurance of Gospel Peace:

Lord, you sustain your people.

You are the lifter of our heads!

Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. 

In you, we have hope for the future – 

Both now and for eternity.

You are a good God and we can rely on you.  

There is nothing that can separate us from your love!
