Scripture Reading: Genesis 20-22

Call to Worship:

Most holy God, we worship your name!

You alone are God.

There is no other!

All glory, honor, and power belong to you!

You don’t grow tired of working.

You are always moving amongst your creation.

All glory, honor, and power belong to you!

Confession and Lament:

Lord, we are a forgetful people.

You call us to remember, and yet we don’t obey.

Instead of trusting you, we try to make sense of your promises.

Remind us that you are consistent, although we are not.

We are left disappointed when we believe you have left us without help.

We must remember that your promises are true and you don’t fail.

Lord, correct us and lead us to your truth.

Assurance of Gospel Peace:

God’s promise of salvation is complete in Christ.

The cross is our redemption from sin, and now we have fellowship with the Father.

We are the people of God: a people for his own possession.

When he justifies us, he begins a work in us that he will complete.

His promises are sure;

His word doesn’t return void.

Day by day, he is making us into his likeness, we are a new creation.
