Scripture Reading: Genesis 23-28

Call to Worship:

Our God is true to his word. 

He keeps his promises to his people.
Lord, we rejoice in your faithfulness!
We give thanks to the Lord for his steadfast love and goodness.
He alone is worthy of our praise.  

Be exalted, O God, above the heavens! 

Let your glory be over all the earth. 

Confession and Lament:

Lord, we confess our tendency to make rash decisions. 

We often respond out of fear that we will miss our turn or be overlooked,

Failing to consider the impact of our actions.  

Forgive us when we act in haste.

Though we often make the wrong choice,

Our mistakes do not nullify your faithfulness. 

Help us to seek your guidance in all areas of our lives.  

Assurance of Gospel Peace:

All of God’s promises are fulfilled in Christ.

Jesus’ death and resurrection secured salvation for all who believe in him.
Hallelujah! The work is finished.
Day after day and year after year, he leads us as we trust in him.

We can rest knowing that nothing can separate us from his love. 

We are his children and he is our good Father!
