Call to Worship
The praise of God’s people will rise!
We praise him in all our situations.
He rescues, he heals, he rules with justice!
We praise him while we wait.
We sing to the Lord who never changes!
We praise him for his steadfast love.
CONFESSION & LAMENT
We have seen the increasing strife and division in our world.
We admit that we have been participants in it as well as bystanders.
Stir us to love, patience, humility, and action.
Even when bad news overwhelms us and fear takes over,
Fill us with your peace and reinforce Your truth.**
When we are quick to react in unhelpful ways and to do what seems right in our own eyes,
forgive us and redirect us.
Give us a bigger vision for what is good.
ASSURANCE OF GOSPEL PEACE
No matter what happens in the world around us,
The Lord has given his people a testimony
that cannot be shaken.
We do not need to fear!
He delivered us from sin and shame,
and He moves in the big things and little things.
With the Spirit, we can walk in our daily lives with peace.
