11.19.23

We were once guilty;

But his blood has made us innocent.

Rejoice at what He has done!

We were ruled by our sin;

But his Spirit leads us into life.

Rejoice at what He is doing!

We suffer now for a moment;

But his eternal peace is our hope.

Rejoice at what He will do!

Lord, we are often consumed with worldly things.

We often pay close attention to fleeting distractions;

and do not pay attention to your presence.

Remind us that we are citizens of heaven!

Refresh our hearts and minds with the truth of our story.

There is no condemnation for those who are in Jesus!

In Christ we are set free from sin and death!

The law lacked power and could not save,

But God sent his Son and fulfilled his law in us.

Now his Spirit lives in us,

And day by day is leading us,

And we can not be taken from God’s love!
