Confession and Lament
Lord, you are forgiving and good.
Your love abounds for those who call on you.
Hear our prayer, listen to our cry for mercy.
I call to You when I am in trouble, because you answer me.
Teach us your ways, that we may rely on you.
Give us an undivided heart, that we may honor you.
Assurance of Gospel Peace
God of our salvation; we rejoice in your goodness.
You have changed our story from despair into hope!
You have brought us out of darkness into your light.
Now we are living in the day, and rest in your assurance:
Whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with him!
