Call to Worship:
We come as regular people
with different cares and joys.
We come together as a church
to be a people of the Lord
And to tell each other the story of his work in our lives!
We will praise him together!
We come to listen to his word
and let it change our hearts.
We will respond to him together!
Confession and Lament
Though we are called to love one another,
Our fears and assumptions
get in the way of humility and freedom,
And our desires and wounds
get in the way of joy and love.
We still hurt one another
Though we are united in Christ.
But you are not done with us!
We look to you as we repent,
That we may be one body in many parts.
We will set aside our pride
to be knit together in Christ!
Assurance of Gospel Peace:
Jesus took on the cost of hostility himself
And began the work of restoring all things.
We are members of one body in Christ!
He gave each of us different gifts and skills
that strengthen, protect, and delight his people.
And we share the joy of this life with the world.
We grow and share one body and one spirit,
One hope, one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
One God and Father of all.
