Scripture Reading: 1:26-27, The Gospel Brings Us to the Truth

Call to Worship:

When we rise in the morning to meet the day,

And when we go about our regular tasks,

Our Lord is already there!

Praise the One who knows us well!

When we gather as a church to praise the Father and to encourage

each other, our Lord is already there!

Praise the One who gave us worship!

Praise the One who brought us together!

Confession and Lament

Lord, we are often afraid to know you better,

Because in our limited understanding, we fear rejection or disappointment,

Like we are bracing for a God who cannot be trusted.

But Lord, you can always be trusted.

Give us hope and faith to trust you more.

Assurance of Gospel Peace:

No matter what we wrestle with, our Lord knows our weaknesses.

He does not look at us as insignificant.

The same Lord who entered in to suffering so we could be whole

Will not abandon us to suffer on our own!

Furthermore, he equips us to help one another in our weaknesses,

So that we all can walk in love and truth together.

Let us help one another, following the example of Christ.

Amen!
