Call to Worship:

God, You are the God of creation.

And as Creation longs for its home of the Garden,

Lord, let Your works draw us to You.

God, You are the God of Your Word.

Your promises stand the test of time.

Lord, let your Word draw us to You!

Confession and Lament:

Our generous and patient God,

We recognize that our hearts are often hardened toward You.

Whether it’s because of pride, selfishness, 

Fear, or lack of trust,

Soften our stubborn hearts, O God.

Let our repentance be a true turning from sin and self,

Not just empty words meant to appease You.

Give us new hearts to seek after You.

Assurance of Gospel Peace:

Jesus became a curse for us,

Dying on a tree, yet bringing us life!

We live with joy because of what he has done!

He absorbed our sins even though he was innocent.

He died in our place because of his great love.

We are grateful for this great exchange!

We are humbled by God’s mercy!
