Scripture Reading: Matthew 6:13-15 [LOVE]

Call to Worship:

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!

He alone made all that we have and all we will ever need.

For His love endures forever!

Give thanks to the God of heaven!

He remembers and provides for those He loves.

For His love endures forever!

Confession and Lament:

Lord, we see all you’ve done laid out before us, 

Yet we still turn away.

We can look back and be reminded of your goodness,

Yet we still turn away. 

Lord, draw us nearer to you. 

Despite your faithfulness, we remain unfaithful.

You give us all we need, and we still cry for more.

When we are ungrateful, Lord, 

Remind us that you are enough. 

Assurance of Gospel Peace:

In our depths, Lord, we cry to you, and you answer.

When sin makes your presence seem dim, you draw us close. 

There is forgiveness found in you. 

Lord, if you counted our sin we would stand condemned.

But because Jesus stood in our place, Bearing the weight of our condemnation,

There is forgiveness found in you.
