Scripture Reading: Numbers 10:11-12:16
Call to Worship:
Great are You, Lord, and deserving of all our praise!
Our strength, our fortress, and defender,
You have won the victory!
Father, we meditate on your unfailing love
As we gather here to worship You.
As your name deserves,
You will be praised to the ends of the earth!
Confession and Lament:
Oh God, Your goodness is abundant,
And yet, we are quick to compare.
We look at what others have
Or look back on the “good old days,”
Missing out on the good You are doing here and now.
Open our eyes to see, and our hearts to be thankful.
We compare ourselves to those around us,
Lifting ourselves up or putting others down
Because of a supposed difference.
May we instead see and treat all people as our brothers and sisters,
Beautifully made in your image.
Forgive us, cleanse us, and unite us again.
Assurance of Gospel Peace:
Thanks be to God!
He gives us victory over sin and death!
Through Christ’s death on the cross and faith in His name,
The veil has been removed!
Now, we have received the Holy Spirit.
Now, our eyes have been opened to see God’s glory!
Not only that, but we have the privilege to reflect that same glory.
Thanks be to God for this indescribable gift!
