Call to Worship

Praise the Lord for his great love toward us!

Make his faithfulness known through all generations!

We lift our hands in worship,

Because his unfailing love will last forever.

His love is better than life!

Confession and Lament

Lord, your love is perfect ― yet we have found our ways around it.

We have loved ourselves over our neighbor;

We have played favorites and ignored those in need.

Forgive us for our lack of love.

Your love is boundless ― yet we have found ways to minimize it.

We have become satisfied with smaller things ―

Bring us back to you when we settle for lesser loves.

Assurance of Gospel Peace

Christ showed His love for us in this:

While we were sinners; he died for us!

He has poured his love into our hearts,

Making a family where there was none.

We cannot escape Christ’s great love!
