Praise the Lord for the wonderful things he has done

Yes! The Lord has done amazing things for us!

He has brought us back from exile and invited us into house.

We will praise your name with shouts of joy!

Let our hearts be filled with laughter and our singing filled with joy.

What amazing things He has done for us!

Lord, we know any and all loss grieves you.

We know violence and hatred against your image bearers disgusts you.

Lord, Help us to weep with those who weep.

We confess that we do not always know how to respond in times like this,

especially when we are not ourselves directly affected by it.

Help us to be compassionate people, and pray on behalf of those who suffer.

God of Life and restoration,

Open our eyes. Break our hearts for what breaks yours.

In a world where darkness seems to invade and advance,

Shine forth Your light, and remind us that we are not without Hope. Amen.

The LORD is gracious and merciful,

slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love!

The LORD is good to all,

and his compassion is over all that he has made.

He is faithful in all his words,

and gracious in all his deeds.

He upholds all who are falling,

and raises up all who are bowed down.

Hear the word of the Lord in Jesus:

‘Your sins are forgiven!’
