WEEK TWO

Hope

Poem Written by Shayla Carter

Long ago, a seed was planted in the ground.

Then, it sat in darkness:

And though it had no light around

Its time there wasn’t useless.

For seeds see roots before they see the light

And even after bearing fruit, its seed will see the night

When the night fades into dawn, there it will be

But now, the seed will multiply bringing forth infinity.
